The “Hidden in Plain Sight” program offers adults an insight into what your child may be hiding in their rooms. This hands-on learning opportunity focuses on alcohol and tobacco use to current trends in the abuse of other drugs such as cannabis synthetic and “designer” drugs, opiates, cocaine, amphetamine-type stimulants, hallucinogens, and prescription drugs.

During this program which is geared for parents, guardians, or other concerned adults, participants are given time to inspect a mock-up of a typical teenagers bedroom. Following the inspection, a presenter discloses the different articles and their significance.

Goal of the Hidden in Plain Sight Trailer
Research shows that parents often overlook everyday items that may indicate that an adolescent is engaging in some form of risky behavior. More so, parents are often apprehensive about talking to children about risky behaviors and do not know how to appropriately manage these issues or where to seek help.
