View information on the commonly used substances by teens: Alcohol, Marijuana, Nicotine, and Opioids. We provide information on the effects of substance use as well as signs and symptoms.

Keep your cool by choosing not to drink. Alcohol impairs the part of the brain responsible for self-control.
Plenty of youth and many adults wonder why drinking alcohol is not allowed until age 21. Share the facts so they can understand the importance of that age requirement.
Meetings & Minutes
Our coalition is a collaborative group of substance use professionals, law enforcement, educators, parents, local business owners, healthcare professionals, youth, and any other individuals who are wanting to make a difference in our community and the lives of youth. We discuss ways to help educate and spread the word about the harmful effects of drugs and ways we can reduce the amount of drugs in the hands of teenagers.
The Coalition Meets Every Month on the Fourth Tuesday at 4:30PM both in person at the Will County Sheriff Office (16911 W Laraway Road, Joliet IL 60433) and via Zoom. Learn More.
