Members of the Coalition distributed Stick Shocker information to over 30 participating organizations throughout Will County. Together, our community partners, such as Jewel Osco, Black Road Food and Liquor, Speedway, Blue Ribbon Products, Circle K, Kenwood Liquors, Berkot, Binny’s and many others, we are continuing to promote NOT supplying liquor or tobacco products to minors. Join us in spreading the message with the hashtag #bethewayout.

Sticker Shock Campaign 2020: Parents Be Informed

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention Research shows that alcohol remains the most commonly used and abused drug among youth and is responsible for more than 4,300 deaths annually among underage youth.

When adults supply alcohol to youth it sends them a very mixed message. Underage drinking is not only a teen problem; this is a community problem. Sticker Shock sends a compelling message to parents and other adults about underage drinking

We know that COID-19 has presented some unique risk factors for teen substance use including teens having more down time at home. Increased liquor sales among adults has mad alcohol potentially more widely available to teens. Now more than ever is a great time to remind adults that preventing underage drinking is everyone’s responsibility.

Parents. Let’s Be Our Youth Guide and Let’s Not Provide them with Alcohol.

Please join us at the Will County Substance Abuse Prevention Coalition (WCSAPC) in our goal to Help Keep All County Youth Free from Alcohol, Tobacco and All Other Drugs (ATOD).
